The other day a picture of THIS showed up on my Facebook.

It looks too good not to try. So I am going to stop into Earth Fare tonight to pick up Hazelnut Flour and Xanthan Gum and tomorrow afternoon .. I am BAKING!!

I of course will let you know how it goes.

If you don’t have everything on hand, this can be a pricey cake to make. But oh so worth it!! It was so tasty. Was like a Hanuta bar. = )

I don’t have the appropriate storage device for a cake so it did dry out a little but that is on me. Michael likes it a lot. He said I have to make it again for when my Aunt and Uncle arrive. I think it would be cute to use the mini-bundt pans so everyone gets their own little cake. If you are expecting a traditional cake like a box mix, this is NOT the cake for you. It has a very nutty texture and flavor – very rich. This recipe is a keeper though. I don’t know that I would change anything. Enjoy.
