More Irons

So a while back I took a lot of extra irons out of the fire and things calmed down quite a bit. It helped my stress and anxiety … so here I am in phase 2. I think it is time to pull the wandering and less than useful tools out of my computer time fire. I have a blog already … here. There is no point in my trying out all kinds of forums … it only adds to the insanity. I am gonna step back at first and see what happens – then delete excess accounts. This blog will always be here so if you want to really keep in touch, this is the best way for it.

I’ve just had one too many Facebook format changes and while I am grateful to FB for catching up with old friends I just don’t want to have to relearn how to use their site 3 times a year. It isn’t that the people aren’t that important to me, it just about my lack of energy and interest in playing drama games with facebook. I have always said – if it ain’t broke … but someone at facebook decides that breaking and new layouts and making people step out of their comfort zone is fun. Well that ain’t me.

Any ideas?

Also looking for some glossy icons I can play with to make links and stuff. Has to be free .. again .. ideas? Suggestions?

Casting LOUP

Have been thinking about doing a pod cast here lately. I know — that ship has sailed. Everyone has done the podcast thing and the excitement is over. BUT — no one is doing regular podcasting anymore and those who are trying it aren’t doing it on anything I care about. Seems like only professional channels, and people are left.

I am not sure what I would do — bunch all of my ideas and thoughts into one regular show that talks about me and my life (fibro, animals, rving, wolves, tattoos, music etc.) or parse it out to separate casts – one for fibro and health stuff, one about animals, rving etc.

Thoughts?

guess who’s back

So I tried playing with other templates but I found myself drawn back to this one. If you remember the old site you will remember that I had pictures of wolves and elvis and such as backgrounds. This time .. just a few simple colors. Takes less time to load and not so much of a distraction. Though I will miss my big E looking at me … he resides as my wallpaper now.

So if you are new – here are some things to remember. I can have a pretty foul mouth. Words to me are tools they are not offensive and cruel on their own – it is only how you use them that make it so.
Just don’t be surprised if you find that I cuss like a sailor.

I am not grammar queen. At least not here. I try to make sure everything is spelled correctly because that is how I roll — but as for dangling whosits and double negative whatsits … I just type the way I talk. I know it isn’t “correct” all of the time. But thems the brakes kid.

I am going to be blunt and at times harsh … but you will know that I am being honest. I don’t feel like I have to pretend. If you don’t like me – fine. There are oodles of others you can stalk. Go for it.

Comments are very cool … I write this for me – but am glad to know that there are others like me out there. Even though I am a hermit by nature — no one likes to feel alone. Especially with so many crazed sheeple taking over the planet.

So here I am – for whatever it’s worth.

I hate CSS and PHP. bleh.

I am trying to get the look and vibe I want and I am making just making it worse. Maybe I will go back to the old theme and layout I was using before I gave up on the old domain.

I was hoping for something fresh and new — but I am having a time making shit look right. Gotta re-learn and play with everything. BLEH.

Not so much

There are several people who have suggested that their days would be brighter if they only could laugh at with me over my adventures with stupid people and the miscellaneous outbursts I am prone to.

So do I think that my random rants and tirades deserved an entire domain name? … Not so much.

I am cheap and lazy as of late – so getting a whole domain name to tackle and manage was out of the question. Lucky for me WordPress is free and I use it for other things so here I am.

A pain in the LOUP is born. Again? Reborn? Crap I am either a Phoenix rising from the ash or Jesus Christine crawling out of the cave. (Why Christine and not Christ – cause I am a chick you silly rabbit.)

What can you expect here … nothing. Don’t try to figure it out. I am too scattered brained to even know myself much less explain it to others.

I have fibromyalgia and with that comes a lot of pain, even more fatigue, and a brain fog that is so thick some days I don’t know if I am scrambled or sunny side up. I may talk about it, I may repeat stuff I have said over and over – you just never know.

I live full time in a 4 season 5th wheel with my geeky husband and 2 rescued dogs. There may be tales of the antics and woes of this lifestyle here as well.

Random stuff I enjoy … reading, photography, writing, hanging outside with the dogs (when the skeeters aren’t trying to haul us away), visiting with the few real friends I have, travel, and snuggling up with the hubbster.

Stuff I don’t enjoy but I am forced into for survival … laundry, housework, doctor visits, and dealing with stupid people that seem to be taking over the planet. While I don’t enjoy these things I will most likely blather on about my interactions with them here as well. You have been warned.

I don’t hold a lot back and I have a problem with censoring what I think with what I say or write. It has brought me woe in the past but I don’t think of it as something I need to change about myself. So please note that at any given time you may become offended by something I have said or something I have not said. I believe that words are just words and any time they are saddled with BAD or GOOD labels is based on how you MEANT and USED the word. Intent is everything. Just don’t be upset if you don’t like what gets written here — there is always the big red X. Embrace your ability to just go the fuck away if you don’t like it here. Now that is true freedom.

so I lied

Turns out being awake until 5 am and then having LK and the dogs wake me just a few hours later has left me with absofuckinlutely NO energy. I have been napping all day, surfing the net and watching a bit on some educational channel about Giants. Not the sports team … Jack, Paul, GIANTS. I am a sucker for stuff like that. I guess that is why my brain is full of enough useless crap to take on the Jeopardy millionaire.
Anyhow — if you were here looking for more stuff and updates mea culpa … I would work on it now — but LK is taking me to dinner and a movie. = )

i’ve been busy

I deleted a lot of pages from the site. I added a few new ones and I will be working on the site some more this weekend – so if you get an error you know what’s up.
I finally figured out how to import entries to MT from other blog files. Yay me!!
I even got the stuff from the old xanga page to come over without too much effort.
Now I think I might try to get some sleep.

I’ve been playing with Word Press today — I am thinking about making the switch to it for this silly thing. Look for some changes to be made — some time.
I won’t say when, just keep an eye open for them, between packing, cleaning, moving, and the day to day stuff it’ll happen.

strange search requests

Poking around my stats page I notice some strange search request keywords. It is funny what people search, funnier that they get to my site because of it – well maybe scary not funny. Some of the stranger entries were: pee, beating up daddy, and about 10 different references to Patrick Norton.
Seeing some of the other scary shit over at Disturbing Search Requests makes me feel better about my freaky visitors!
