another wasted night

Since it appears I am having another sleepless night, I could be working on my site and doing some much needed updates – but instead I am wandering around the internet finding more useless crap than any one person needs to see in a lifetime much less in one sitting.
Some of the crap I have found:
* Snoop Dogg wants a free Chrysler 300c, I guess that it how the rich stay rich … they get the hook up whenever they can … I hope he doesn’t get one. I was digging that car … would hate it to be the next ghettofabulous thing. It is just too pretty to have those big ugly spinning rims on it.
* I realize that many bands just regurgitate their work over and over until they commit suicide or worse, end up selling off their catalog to N1KE or McDona1ds.
This site has a nifty “left speaker – right speaker” thing going on. You be the judge.
* El Paso Texas is named SWEAT CITY … average summer temps above 93 and relative humidity over 70%. Funny, I lived there for almost 4 years in the 80s and it wasn’t very humid at all – I remember it being arrid.
* No matter how hard you try — you can’t outsmart squirrels. 78 year old woman shoots herself with shotgun, she was of course aiming for the squirrel.
As for the site updates … I am not sure what all is coming. I have oodles of ideas kicking about in my head, when they come to me I am usually away from any means of jotting the notes down. Maybe someone will take pity on me and get me an iTalk.

more breeders

I noted a while back that I was sad to see quite a few of my favorite
online haunts and reads go breeder. I just found a few more that have
fallen over to the dark side. How sad that educated people with many
wonderful ideas and things to say with interesting hobbies now can only
blubber about their sproggen or their repugnancy. The world isn’t going
to hell in a handbasket it is going to hell in a bassinette. Dog help
us all.

I guess it was only a matter of time. As I was sorting through
bookmarks and checking in on sites and blogs I used to frequent, I
found a disturbing trend. A lot (if not all) of the cool places I used
to like to visit and read and peak on people doing their thing … have
bred. Now what used to be chatter about cool movies, what books they
are reading, new music to check out, fairly important causes, current
events and hot issues has been replaced by what kind of diapers they
find are more absorbent. Even worse — endless blithering about how
adorable their offspring is. No one gives a fuck if this is the first
time you have been away from your pwecious brat and can’t seem to
function because of it. I certainly don’t want to hear about your
breastfeeding escapes or a recent shopping spree at MotherHERD &
MOOternity. The men and women alike — all have breeder brain and babie
rabies — it’s equally disgusting. Is EVERYONE breeding???
No, that can’t be it. Maybe these aging hipsters just weren’t as cool
and on the edge as their website. No, it isn’t different because I
don’t have sproggen, and it certainly isn’t different because THEY do.
It is simple – The things they once believed were important like
freedom of speech, animal welfare, keeping abortion legal and countless
other issues and causes fell victim to whether or not disposable shit
catchers were on sale this week and what formula (soy or soylent green)
really is better for their fucktrophy. I suppose a lot of people fool
themselves for a while, hell years even. “I am cool, I am a rebel, I am
the one your parents warned you about” then POW! like Batman to the
Joker … they ARE their parents, part of the herd. Babbling, brainless
breeders complete with a new SUV, high priced espresso, uberstroller,
and a monthly tab at Baby Gap that could finance a small army. It is
just so sad — pathetic really.
